North American Sudan Coalition
Building collective power across regions and the diaspora
We are a Sudanese-led coalition working across regions and diaspora communities to build collective power
We intentionally reject the political hierarchies and centralized structures that have long marginalized Darfur and other regions of Sudan. By coordinating strategy, sharing resources, and aligning around clear political demands, we work to strengthen a collective voice rooted in equity, regional inclusion, and accountability across Sudan and its diaspora

What we believe
Hands off Sudan. Sudan is not a battlefield for foreign interests or a bargaining chip for regional or global powers. The Sudanese people have the right to determine their own future without external coercion, militarization, or imposed political outcomes. Sudan’s future belongs to its people. No foreign militarization, occupation, or proxy wars. No imposed political settlements or elite power-sharing deals. No exploitation of land, resources, or humanitarian aid. We reject external interference by states, militias, corporations, and international actors who profit from Sudan’s fragmentation and violence. We stand for Sudanese self-determination, civilian rule, accountability for crimes, and justice led by those most impacted.
What we do
The North American Sudan Coalition functions as a coordinating body for Sudanese organizations and organizers working across North America. We support collaboration between groups that are often isolated from one another, helping align efforts, reduce duplication, and strengthen collective impact. We facilitate coordination across campaigns, projects, and rapid response efforts related to Sudan, including advocacy, documentation, and community mobilization. This includes sharing information across networks, connecting organizations to resources, and creating spaces for joint planning and decision making.
