Building a Platform: Testimony and Evidence Collection

This project establishes a structured system for collecting, verifying, and preserving evidence of human rights violations against civilians in Sudan. Its purpose is to build an independent and reliable public record.

Inside the Independent Record

Recording testimony and safeguarding evidence

Phase 1

Preparation and Framework Development

During this phase, the project establishes documentation protocols, verification standards, consent procedures, and data security systems. Field teams are coordinated, devices are secured, and operational structures are finalized.

This stage ensures that testimony collection is systematic, ethical, and secure from the outset.

Phase 2

Field Testimony and Evidence Collection

Field teams collect firsthand testimonies and supporting material from affected communities. Evidence is documented using structured interview methods and secure recording tools.

All collected material undergoes preliminary verification and secure storage to protect accuracy and integrity.

Phase 3

Verification and Archival Preservation

Testimonies and field evidence are reviewed, cross referenced where possible, and organized for long term preservation.

Verified materials are uploaded to a secure digital archive to ensure independent access and protection from loss or manipulation.
