Who we are

Witness Archive Collective

We are a Sudanese-led coalition working across regions and diaspora communities to document lived realities and build collective power. We reject the centralized political structures that have long erased and marginalized Darfur and other regions of Sudan.

Our Mission

Our mission is to collect, preserve, and mobilize testimonies and evidence from across Sudan in ways that are ethical, secure, and community-driven. We work to ensure that documentation serves not only as a record of violence but as a tool for advocacy, accountability, and long-term collective memory.

What we do

We collect and document testimonies and evidence from across Sudan through trained field teams working directly with affected communities. We build secure systems to store and verify this information so it can be used for advocacy, accountability, and historical record. We also coordinate across regions and diaspora networks to align efforts, share resources, and strengthen collective political demands.

Political Line

Sudan belongs to its people. Its future must be shaped by Sudanese communities, not foreign governments, militias, or outside interests.

End foreign interference
End military support to armed actors
End the exploitation of Sudan’s resources

Hands Off Sudan is a call to stop treating Sudan as a site of control, extraction, and geopolitical competition. It names the role of outside governments, corporations, and regional powers in sustaining violence, shaping war economies, and undermining sovereignty.

It demands an end to all external involvement that fuels the conflict, and calls for accountability from those enabling it. Above all, it insists that Sudan’s future must be determined by Sudanese people themselves.
